RESPONSIBILITIES
  • develop, implement, and maintain geospatial data and technologies to enhance our insurance solutions.
  • support key business objectives by improving our understanding of geographical risk factors, optimizing our risk assessment tools, and driving data-driven decisions for our clients.
  • the ideal candidate has strong experience in GIS technology, spatial data analysis, and a passion for leveraging geospatial information in innovative ways.
  • · Develop and maintain geospatial data models and applications to support, particularly in areas such as risk assessment, claims processing, and underwriting.
  • · Integrate spatial data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and relevance
  • · Design and implement algorithms and spatial analysis models to enhance geographic risk identification, hazard assessment, and predictive analytics.
  • · Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate geospatial insights into, contributing to data-driven solutions for customers.
  • · Evaluate and optimize GIS workflows, processes, and tools to improve scalability and performance.
  • · Stay up-to-date on GIS technologies, industry trends, and data standards to continuously enhance geospatial capabilities.
  • · Document and communicate technical requirements, processes, and insights with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • · 3+ years of experience in geospatial data analysis, GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), and spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL).
  • · Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript, with experience in spatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, Geopandas).
  • · Strong understanding of GIS concepts, including spatial data structures, coordinate systems, and geoprocessing techniques.
  • · Experience with cloud-based GIS and geospatial tools, such as AWS, Google Maps API, or similar.
