RESPONSIBILITIES
  • · Produce and analyze new and renewal Property and Engineering treaty business, focusing on catastrophe-exposed portfolios.
  • · Oversee portfolio renewals, monitoring, and development.
  • · Engage with external stakeholders, including brokers, reinsurance buyers, and senior management.
  • · Conduct client visits and perform underwriting reviews.
  • · Collaborate with internal teams like catastrophe modeling, actuarial, and claims departments.
  • · Manage underwriting data using systems
  • · Underwrite treaty risks, reviewing terms and conditions, and using pricing tools.
  • · Analyze special cases that fall outside of treaty terms and conditions.
  • · Attend client and broker meetings during renewals and industry events.
  • · Build strong relationships with insurance companies and brokers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · Over 3 years of experience in Property and Engineering Underwriting Reinsurance in Latin America, specializing in catastrophe-exposed risks.
  • · Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • · Skilled in quantitative pricing
  • · Proficient in catastrophe modeling, with the ability to understand and interpret outputs from AIR and RMS models.
